a lot of school systems expect you to sign up as a substitute so they get to know you before they will hire you as a full time teacher.

Apply for a job.
Depending on what State you're in, you might have to do some student teaching (but you probably did that in College).
Apply at every District in the area you want to live. You can find out which pay more. Talk to people and look on the Web. Most Districts now post their budgets there.
Good luck - they should have taught you this in school. A teaching certificate is worthless if you don't know how to put it to use.

The next logically step is "go to work". Good advice as been offered on looking for a job. Since you have completed your certificate in education, and you feel you are not really to teach, then I recommend you go to Graduate School; it usually takes a year and a half to complete.

Put together a resume, and perhaps a statement of your philosophy of teaching. Contact human resource departments of school districts to ask for applications. Some are online. Call or go see principals to make contacts. You could sign up to be a substitute teacher to make some contacts, as well.

More and more jurisdictions require at least a B.Ed. American schools tend to be very flexible so start looking for jobs in the US. Anyone I know who went there to teach is loving it.

Judging by your written word, I would keep away from educating children. Perhaps you should start again in year seven.

Try working in a daycare center for like preschool kids. If you don't want to work in a public school then try for private schools.
