Whenever i see tourists like Japanese tourists or chinese tourists and they seem to have a question..i tend to see them ignore me, and try to look for a more Americanize looking person to ask them. even if they need a photograph taken, i'm right there standing, sitting, or doing nothing.. and they will never ask me. In the bus, i see europeans start conversations with Americans if they sit with them in same seat,, but i've had situations like this and they never try to talk to me. So, what exactly do they think when they see Mexicans-americans( that don't look white), do they think we're just disgusting and not american, and that we don't know english? Do they think we're just here in the usa and are nobodys?

I think you are reading too much into this behavior. They probably think that you are a tourist as well. Since they do not live here, they may not realize that you are an american. Since you look mexican (i assume you do) they probably think you will speak spanish.

Hmm...never knew this happened. I'm sorry that it does.

Maybe (just being optimistic here) being that they are tourists to this country, they think that the Mexicans are tourists as well--and if they go for the whitest guy possible to ask a question, then that further eliminates the possibility that they might not get their question answered?

Just a thought. I wouldn't think it has anything to do with people thinking Mexicans are "disgusting" or anything like that...

via fact Mexicans have not come from 'Afro united states of america of america' or 'East Asia', those are no longer countries. Nor do they arrive from 'Europe', that's additionally no longer a state. If an immigrant comes from India, meaning the Republic of India, then he's an immigrant. he's the two a criminal immigrant or an unlawful immigrant, finding on how he got here to pass into the rustic. If somebody comes from Mexico, they are Mexican. they have Mexican citizenship and a Mexican passport. they are obliged under the regulation to stick to for a visa to pass to the US, and for a artwork enable in the event that they desire to stay there. maximum countries have outcomes for paying for into their territory illegally. some countries stick to the loss of life penalty.

Asians and Europeans come from a more homogeneous genetic pool, phenotypically speaking. Now what does that mean? They look similar. Their idea of USA is white and homogeneous. They dont acknowledge the USA is a rich undefinable multicultural society where many different races coexist, and mix. I was not born in this country, but speak, and behave like any other American. When I see one of those bowl heads doing that to me, I pay no attention and act more like this is my home you dumbass, your just a tourist.

Many of them might just assume you're a tourist, or immigrant yourself and probably can't help them out... Or, maybe you're just scary looking?
