Because it makes you feel as if you know more than everyone else.
It also makes you realize that there are A LOT of jerks out there and you're not one of them!
You also are actually able to help someone sometimes - this is a terrific feeling.
That's what I think anyway - it IS fun - except when you get sandbagged by a bible thumper, closet liberal, anti-semite or someone who KNOWS that his opinion on a certain subject is the ONLY correct one. Makes you wonder why he posts a "question." I think it's done just to get our blood boiling. It works on me sometimes...

I do it to pass the time. Also some of these people for some reason dont realize that their answer is at the touch of a few keys.
