RENT had a better lesson/moral to it and Moulin Rouge was a tad more interesting.

However I preferred the music in RENT to the music in Moulin Rouge so..... I think overall I would have to say RENT

This is tricky, cause I like Moulin Rouge, but as far as Rent, the Broadway version was far superior then the movie version.

Favorite song: Nature Boy or Like a Virgin from Moulin Rouge (I bet you don't think about Like a Virgin the same way after Jim Broadbent did it in the movie)

Well, I love Rent. I own the movie and I have seen the Broadway show twice. My favorite songs are "La Vie Bohem" and "Take Me of Leave Me"

Come what may! (is that the title that Ewan and Nicole sang in the movie) in Moulin Rogue. It encourages me that maybe I can also sing like them though they're not renown as singers themselves. And how I love to hear the last line. . . I will love you until my dying day! - how romantic, how I wish to sing that to my husband again and again.....

i like the whole movie
