What are the characteristics of a Capricorn? What are they like? What are their likes and dislikes?

I'm technically a Sagitarius but have been told by others that my personality is that of a Capricorn but I'm not sure what the means. Any thoughts??

Characteristics of a Capricorn.
Capricorn, symbolized by the Goat, is a Cardinal Earth sign. Like the goat, Capricorns want to climb to the top of the mountain. Ruled by Saturn, they are ambitious, determined, persistent and willing to do the hard work necessary to achieve their goals. Career is important. Underlying their determination to succeed is a desire for recognition, status, and prestige. Capricorns are responsible, conscientious, efficient, organized. They can be domineering, bossy and unforgiving of those who are not as diligent as they are. Sometimes you may have been born in a particular month but towards the end of it; for example Sagittarius is 11/22-12/21 but if you were born at the beginning of Capricorn's dates 12/22-1/19 you might be more disposed to act more like a Capricorn. Capricorns are very hard working and love to stay occupied. They dislike any kind of appearance of laziness and are very set in their ways. They love to be in control of things but are very quiet for the most part. Sagittarians are practically polar opposites!

Caps are usually hard workers and are careful about who they befreind. They are attracted to people who are or who have connections with people who are influential and well known.
