Wet & Wild is fun! City Walk is a blast if u don't have kids to worry about. When you go to Universal make sure you get the express passes they SKIP the wait lines to almost EVERY ride and show in the park(s). If you wanna go to the beach there is Daytona, Cocoa within an hour on the west coast. DON'T fall for the Discovery Cove trap its VERY expensive & they don't GARANTEE any interaction. If you go down International drive there are a lot of great shops and some cool walk-through...Titanic Museum, and Ripley's. Hope That Helps!! Have Fun!

If you are going to be at Universal, the CityWalk is absolutely a must-do. There's restaurants and clubs and stuff. My pick for best restaurant is by far Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. A lot of Jimmy Buffett music and then a live band playing classic rock. It was one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. (Try the Cheeseburger in Paradise) The World's Largest Hard Rock Cafe is there too and is really good. If you want to eat at Emeril's like we did, make sure you plan ahead...there was a 3 week wait for reservations! Also, one of the best rides to me is the moving sidewalks in the parking garage. Sounds stupid, but we had a blast haha. Also, slide on over one night to Downtown Disney. It's just a few minutes away and it's free. They have Cirque du Soleil, House of Blues, Virgin MegaStore, and more...but stay away from Planet Hollywood. Food was good but way overpriced and an overall bad dining experience. I did enjoy the bathroom attendant. That's not something you see often in the South. Orlando also has a WonderWorks museum that I'm told is incredible and tons of stuff on I-drive. There are a couple of beaches within an hour (Daytona and Cocoa) but the locals we heard from suggested Cocoa far and away. Hope this helps...have fun at my favorite vacation spot!

We have not made it back the last 2 years (I know, it sucks!) but the very best advice I give all is see everything and enjoy the time. I find Universal is good for 3 days to see everything and take in some shopping. Beyond 3 days you do alot of repeating.

Depending how old your kids are (10 and above) Halloween Havoc is a must see! We go and have a blast, a good piece of advice is purchase the fast past, it is extra but worth every penny.

I think everyone makes the mistake of trying to rush and see everything in a day, (including us). Hey, this a vacation, relax and smell the roses and live the experience!

I appreciate it more when I have returned and realized that it is over.

You'll have a good time at Universal!! I would definitely recommend that you get the express pass so you can get on everything. It costs $15 in addition to your admission, but worth it since you get to get to the front of the line on all the rides.

Must go on rides at IOA: The Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, Ripsaw Falls, Jurassic Park...

Must Ride at Universal: Shrek, The Mummy, Twister, Jaws...

You should make reservations for dinner at Emerils and definitely go bar hopping at City Walk.

As far as the theme parks, you can probably get through Universal and Sea World in 3 days, 4 if you really take your time.

If you like shopping you have to go to the Mall at Millenia, not far from Universal. Also get to Pointe Orlando, another mall and lots of outlets in that area. There are also many golf courses if you're into golfing!

Other than that... relax at the pool. Disney is loads of fun and there's lots to do, but if you haven't been to Universal, then you should be entertained!

Like many have said, go to Universal City Walk. Go on a Thursday night so you can see a comedy show! You can get a movie & clubs pass for like $20 each (if thats not inclued in your package).

Other places I would recommend:

Ripley's Believe it or not muesum (always fun)
Pirates Dinner Show (Really fun for all ages!)
Gator Land is fun for the young kids
Sanford Flea Market is fun (if you plan on having a car)
Go to the beach (either Cocoa or New Smyrna)
Kennedy Space Center (NASA)
McDonalds (the largest one in the world)
Bistro McDonalds (let them serve you better food than normal)
Mall of Millenium (has $$$$ stores)

The first website I gave is a place to get discount tickets for places around FL. The store is located across the street from Midevil Knights Dinner Show.

Not sure exactly what the "City Nights" thing includes but if it doesn't include Universal Studios City Walk, definitely spend dinner, or drinks or something along those lines while you are there. You said no Disney but there are two places in Disney World that are good for adults - EPCOT and Downtown Disney.

We really enjoyed spending one rainy day at the Mall at Millenium. It was one of the few indoor free things to do that kept everyone happy.

If you have little kids there is the "World's Largest" McDonalds in Orlando. Another good way to spend a rainy morning for free.

Depending on how much time you have you may want to drive down to Tampa. They have some fun things to see and do, including Busch Gardens.

Happy Travels!

I lived in Orlando for many years. Definately go to City Nights because they have restaurants, bars, shopping, and movie theatres there.
I would also recommend going to international drive because there are a few malls, tons, of restaurants, and tourist attractions.
Orlando is also known for dinner shows. You should definately go to one of them. I have been to almost all the dinner shows. I highly recommend Slueths which is a murder mystery show, Arabian Knights which is also great and they serve prime rib, and Medieval times. They are the best dinner shows in Orlando. All of them also serve unlimited beer and wine.
I would avoid the other dinner shows because they are terrible.
If you have a car go to Cocoa Beach which is 45 minutes away and it is also where Kennedy Space Center is.
