I have Intel Pentium 4(2.4 GHz) with 384 MB RAM,17 inch Samsung monitor.I have Windows XP Pro.My problem is that I can't install Windows XP Pro SP2 on my computer.When I try to install Win XP SP2 it goes normally untill setup files are copied to my computer then the screen freezes.My CD is original.Is the problem in my BIOS or what?

...try this ---- Download the upgrade to the desktop.
turnoff all scheduled tasks, disconnect from the net (if you have cable, then unplug the modem), unplug game controllers and anything that uses memory.
run the setup from the desktop

You can try 2 things...1) try coppying your disc files to a folder that you create and then open that folder and find the setup or exe file and then double click...or
2) you should do a virus scan (free AVG works well if you need an av program...and if it still wont install...restart your computer and on the boot screen tap f8 and then select safe mode without networking and try your install again from the disc or the folder...hope this helps your situation.....and double check that ram count : -)

To properly install Windows XP Pro SP2, you will need to do a complete reformat.

384?? Have u checked whether ur xp is original. Go to the microsoft site and check that. It generally is a problem.

No RAM is of 384 MB.The problem is occuring due to ur RAM.RAMs are of size 128MB OR 256MB OR 512 MB like this.So change your RAM immidiately and solve ur problem..

Something is screwy with your RAM. But what about your video RAM? You said that your screen freezes. Does your computer freeze? Or is it a video prob lem?
