The Dell setup came up and I couldn't get the microsoft setup with the 4 or 5 choices to come up.

Reboot your computer when it is restarting start pressing your f8 key & keep pressing it tell it then it will give you the option of starting in safe mode

If you're running windows xp press F8 that will get you into the safe mode menu, then select safe mode.

depends on your comp. sometimes its f 8 or delete or esc . try one and if that doesn't work try the next. it may take several times to get in.
