I find that "Teetha" teething granuals work really well and my baby loves it!!
Its homeopathic granuals in sachets that you just empty into your babies mouth and it soothes and calms. They sell it in asda and some tescos. You could probably get it from the chemist too. It is quite expensive (about £5-£6) for a box of 20 sachets (i think) but it good stuff and nothing harmful!
On really bad nights I also give my daughter Calpol which also works really well due to the paracetamol which numbs the pain and helps them get to sleep.

Orajel is good. It numbs their gum area so they won't feel too much pain for a while. Also, frozen teething rings seem to help.

try dampimg a new face cloth, roll it in to a ball, cover in cling film so it keeps it's shape, freeze over nite. when the baby needs soothing unwrap and let the baby suck on the cold cloth, cheap and no chemicals!!!!

baby tylenol and baby ora jel works. give the baby clean teething toys and keep them clean. follow directions on the bottle. I suggest keeping bibs on hand for the drools.

my nan always put a dab of brandy on our gums when we was babys, nan says it works a treat and it always made us sleep as well, dont put loads on just a little bit. 100% safe i promise

your local health food store might have Hylands teething tablets, they do wonders.
