everyone is different in their own way, we cannot compare the 2 sports people you have mentioned. we may compare their statistics but not their abilities in coaching a team or trying to inspire a team to victory. Coaching is very different from being in the game as a player.

even though it is difficult to compare them both I would say that chappel is better because of the fact that kapil dev is not so familiar about the training techniques carried outside; it is clearly visible from the statistics that kapil didn't have such a good time with the team so chappel is definitely better.
