no, in fact you shouldn't twist any piercing while it is healing. the body will swell slightly around the jewelry to keep bacteria from getting into the wound as easily as you might believe. During healing an internal tube of skin is forming called a fistula and twisting can actually tear this thin skin and make the healing time longer or cause a lot of irriation/open it to bacteria. Soak your piercings in a 1/4tsp of sea salt (at the grocery store) in 8oz warm water for 10min twice a day. Ear cartilage has a very low blood flow so healing will take longer, this will get blood to the area and help it. (much like the ocean if you have a cut)

Most peircings you have to move around to clean. Like if your useing poroxide you need to make sure that you get the dirt or any other bacteria out of it so it does not get an infection. So the answer would probably be yes

Clean around each hole first, then twist and clean again.
