If you personally had the opportunity to go into the WTC to save ppl would you have risked your lives for others or watched others.

I don't think you can actually answer that until you are in the situation. Some peoples adrenaline/emotion takes over and they don't think, they just act! I would hope this is how I would react! However other peoples fear/emotion takes over and they freeze.
This is why in the military you do the same drills over and over until you can't do anything but react!

You can't say. Heroism is something that occurs in the spur of the moment. Even people that have helped were surprised of their own strength and courage afterwards.
