well... i think it's really sumthin that hasto do wid priority.... of course u dont need me telling u that iit is the best. but i wouldnt suggest that u take up things like production engineering n stuff just for the sake of the iit tag. scope wise computer (though it's approachin saturation) and electronics/communication are the best that u can catch hold of. but take care that u get into a reputed coll. sumthin like bits or the likes. 'coz ultimately ur background WILL make a great deal of difference in ur cv. n lastly... dont start closing off ur options at this stage. it's gud that u r trying to focus yourself... but u'll be surprised how many times a decision is taken at the last moment... n sometimes they r for the better.
i myself passed 12th this yr wid 94% in PCMB. planned to do engg, but cudn't get gud enuff ranks to get thru gud courses in iit n bits. hence.. i'm doing eco hons. at SRCC and loving it. dnt think i'd hav liked engg this much.

stream doesn't matter a lot. what matter is your college .
all branches have approximately equal scope,if you are not going to get core job than you can get software job,if ur college is well recognised and have good campus placement. I suggest you to go for IIT JEE.then u need not to worry about branch.
good luck
