It is possible, but I would take a pregnancy test before taking birth control pills. You may be pregnant.

Your question is a little confusing, the time line as I'm reading it is that you had a period the end of June and then the beginning of July-ish you started Tae Kwon Do. The end of July came and no period, but you didn't think too much of it. August 10th came and went and still no period, and now on the 19th you are considering or have started birth control pills. I hope that is right or close.
If you were taking birth control pills the whole time I would say there is little to worry about but starting them now won't do anything if you are already pregnant (most pills are not thought to harm embryos but you should stop immediately if you think you are pregnant.)
You can take a home test but I would go to a doctor. I got pregnant while on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and didn't get a positive home test until I was three months pregnant (determined by ultrasound).
A new exercise routine and starting birth control can both cause you to skip a period but if you are pregnant it is really important to get appropriate medical attention throughout the pregnancy, besides, you want to know.
You are coming up on what should be the period for August so the pregnancy should show up on a home test but like I said, not everyone's body reacts the same way.
You should see a doctor and have a Pap smear before you begin any birth control pills anyway.
Good luck and I wish all the best for you

It is hard to tell by your post, but I would think that if your period had been delayed for so long, your doctor would have done a pregnancy test before prescribing the pill. Maybe call them first, and if they say no tell them your concern and see if they will do one for you, just to make sure. A lot of people do the home pregnancy ones, but they are not always accurate. If you find out you are not pregnant, the pill will often help your body get on a regular cycle. Also some of the new pills make your periods really light but that is nothing to worry about. Your heavy training can affect your periods too. But it sounds like you take good care of your body, your training is a good thing, so when you do have a baby you will be in great shape physically and mentally. Hope this helps :)

The pill does mess up your routine - i know that much but as you said you started training for thaikwando possibly all the work out you've been doing has messed up your routine also. But thats what i think, if you are really worried, i'd see a doctor. Take Care -x-

take a pregnancy test, A.S.A.P. You don't want to take birth control pills if you're pregnant. You can get the tests over-the-counter fairly cheap now. Seeing a dr is always a good plan, too.

It is hard to tell when dealing with birth control pills and other elements. Our bodies are so hormonal and anything can throw you off. If you are having sex though, you need to get a test.

You need to stop the pill until you know for sure you are not pregnant.
