The Vikings were among the first to fish off the Grand Banks...when Columbus was discovering America these people already had an intimate knowledge of the rich fishing found there. Vikings were probably the first lobster eaters...they found some accidentally caught in their nets, threw them in a fire, and found them delicious.

I think the melted butter came later.

Yes, very hungry. Or maybe the lobster fell into a hot spring and turned red and human curiosity got the best of him. Or that it having turned red was a SIGN that he was supposed to eat it. Like a big red "eat me" sign.

The Pilgrims ate lobster once they were introduced to it by the Native American Indians of the 17th century. Not only did they eat lobster but they also ate seal and swan too. Yuck!

You must be high.......and must've just seen a red lobster commercial!!!!!

lobsters get red when cooked, my dear. when alive, they'r black or dark green. easy on "mary jane", chiara!!
