There is no such thing as a tiny, tiny potbellied pig at this point. People who claim to have micro-minis, teacup pigs, or whatever name they're going by these days are lying. Period. Healthy potbellied pigs range in size, generally around 100 lbs as adults. Some are a bit smaller and some a bit larger depending on genetics. Check out the first link below for more information on this misleading advertisement.

As for where you can purchase or adopt a healthy, normal-sized potbellied pig, there is a place called Shepard's Green Sanctuary for potbellied pigs in Tennessee: http://www.9sites.com/ They may be of assistance. You can also network with breeders across the U.S. and ask if they know of any local, reputable breeders or sanctuaries. The first two links under Potbellied Pig Resources should help you with that. Good luck and happy researching.

Those cute little baby pigs grow up to weigh several hundred pounds. I have a friend who ended up taking in 3 of them because people thought they were going to keep them in their houses! She has them in her barn.

Unless you want a BIG porker wandering around(They get HUGE) like a big dog, or have a farm, get a dog or cat.
If ya really-really want one, look in your local paper pet's section....someone is usually wanting someone to adopt one, although those usually end up bbq.
