My cat always cleans herself. No matter what. What is the reasoning behind this. I cant think of any other animals that do this all the time. And do big cats (lions, tigers) do this as well?

It is their natural instinct to do it. Probably to avoid to have entangled hair in their fur. And a clean fur can help to avoid to have lice and other pest.
In the wild, it is to avoid the smell. Smell brings mosquitoes.

the reason why cats lick themselves quite often is because they're grooming themselves. i used to own many cats myself, and they all used to do that. i also live in a street with many cats, all of which do that too. also a sign of grooming themselves is when they rub themselves on your legs and circle you, but that's also a sign that they like you. i've seen tigers before, and they do do that, and i would think that lions do that too.

in case you became it with a moist textile then once a week. in case you purely wash it without cleansing soap then once a month. in case you employ cleansing soap then no more beneficial than once each and every 2 months, even if it would want to remember on what type of cleansing soap. also, fleas oftentimes purely come interior the summer time. you should purchase a particular collar that keeps them remote out of your cat. It has a scent that fleas scent and hate. you received't scent it, in spite of the reality that. Edit;; in case you bathe too oftentimes then you eliminate the fat it truly is on the exterior and that is terrible for your cat. make sure you do not bathe too oftentimes. Bathing them too oftentimes is only as undesirable as by no ability bathing them.

They love to be clean. It's their natural instinct. Big cats do it often, but not as much as domestic cats. Hope this helps!

I think in the wild, if they are clean, then other animals can't smell them and kill them. Or their prey won't smell them coming. Not sure if big cats do the same, but I think they do.

yup they do. Mine does to. Hey its the only way they can stay clean. However their may be one other reason, have you checked for fleas lately? Maybe give her a bath with some flea and tick shampoo in it just to make sure.

A cat will often brush up against a person, then lick their fur to 'ingest' the person's scent.
