The inspirational sort - biographies of successful people, or great people from history. Humour works too, along with books which just startle you with their originality. But most of all, I think, one specific would have to be art books on films by Hayao Miyazaki which plot the development and evolution of his films, especially since I happen to be an aspiring animator, and love all his work dearly.

Wow, you really like these questions! First, the Bible. Second, something funny like Dave Barry or, my favorite, the funny stuff in the Readers Digest. Pretty much any good book that can take you away from your troubles is a great mood lifter.

The Holy Al-Quran (yes, I am a Muslim) and if I'm in dire need of an instant perk-up and peals of laughter, I'd choose The Undomesticated Goddess by Sophie Kinsella.

If I'm sad, to feel better, I need a good cry, so I'd be reading books like Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani and Good In Bed by Jennifer Weiner.

Have a good weekend too, buddy ((:
