For you younger libs, FDR is Franklin Roosevelt, a liberal president during WWII. He put around 120,000 japanese and japanese americans into camps after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. My question is, would you libs have a problem with him doing that to muslims today? You libs get offended if we racial profile at the airports and God forbid if we tap a terrorist's phone call. I just want to hear the double standard if it was a liberal democrat running the country.

Libs seem to have a problem with EVERYTHING everybody does! I do not advocate camps, we have many (mostly all) fine peeps of Arab descent in our country. But I DO think racial profiling in the check ins at airports and other areas is necessary to help insure our safety. If, for example, a fat white woman robs a bank it does little good to stop and search mexican men. Attacks on our security have been by young male Arabs and that group should be the one checked out most thoroughly first. We are, if fact, at war. Just my opinion, no offense meant to anyone.

I don't think there is a need to do that today and I wasn't alive when that happened so I cannot comment on was it right or wrong then. However I would not be for it as too many innocents pay the price for the bad guys that way. I do have a problem with Bush authorizing tapping phone calls without court approval. Since when should the patriot act supersede the Constitution. He has overstepped his authority on this one, and should be at least reprimand on this and the bigger picture should he be impeached for failure to uphold his oath of office. This would be a high crime and maybe even a act of treason.

I would certainly hope that not only "liberals" - but EVERYONE would have a problem with any policy that paints an entire segment of our population with the same brush. Doesn't history teach us anything?

That was absolutely the LOWEST point of the FDR presidency.
The premise of it was racist. But the USA then was an OVERTLY racist country, with laws that institutionalized racism.
