I think NOT, don't ever get a mans name tattooed on your body, buy a bracelet or something with his name on it. Bad choice, girlie, dont do it.

No no no!!! It's a very sweet idea but there are a heap of other ways of showing you love him. I know because I did much the same thing once. I was with someone who I really loved at the time, he had loads of tattoos and I got one exactly the same as one of his, a bull that showed his star-sign Taurus, tattooed on my stomach (in a rather provocotive place!). He was blown away when he saw it and couldn't believe I'd done it. It was such a thrill at the time but it wasn't long after that I just went off him, not for any reason other than I just moved on, no hard feelings but we split up and I haven't seen him since. Now it's a bit embarrassing when a new boyfriend asks why I have a bull, some people assume I'm a Taurus but I'm not and I have to say it's just something a friend and I did together when we were young and nieve (or however you spell it), which is true. I'm only 26 now but do sort of wish I'd had something else done. I don't regret the tattoo, just the symbolism behind it. It's a fun thing to do, one of those things I wanted to do in life, and will forever be a symbol of my wild and carefree days, it just annoys me that the man I did it for sometimes pops in my head when I'm in bed with someone I now know I love much more. See what I mean? Kinda annoying. Just get a tattoo of something that means a lot to you personally and tell your boyfriend you dedicate it to him - just DON'T get his name done - there's no explaining that to anyone else!!!

Can't let my man see this message, he still doesn't know, lol!

i really don't think u should do it no, if something does happen to u 2 then u will have all this pain and hurt come up ever time u look at ur arm, as other people have said on here, if u get a lil symbol the means something to and that represents him then its better. i mean u have to also think what if im the future u do break up for what ever reason, hows ur new bf going to feel about u having a constant reminder about him on ur arm. i really don't think its worth it but then all this is just our opinion. its ur choice after all and ur the 1 that will make the final decision. i just hope u do think about it

Yeah, how about a piercing, and maybe you could have his initials on the ring you have put in? If they don't offer this service, it should exist...

I mean, tatoos are permanent- too permanent in a way, whatever happens in your love, it will still be there... still, if you want to show your devotion, who's to stop you? If someone I was going out with did that with my name, I think I'd be flatter, nay, overcome with emotion, but secretly scared for the future, maybe a little guilty. Probably it's a bad move- listen to the girl who did it twice up there, that should be enough warning...

If you were certain of this then you would never have asked the question. I think that it's a lovely gesture of commitment but I think that you should wait a little longer until you know for yourself for certain. But I've been with my boyfriend for over three years now and I have his name tattooed onto a tattoo I had before I met him...just below my knicker-line. It's just for him. He also has my name tattooed onto his back. As we both didn't want to marry until I finished University and we wanted to have a place of our own, we thought it was the best sign of commitment for the time being.
I certainly don't regret it and I love that he loves it.

Definately NOT.i am smothered, have been since naughty teens.
I was lucky I met a good woman. As you get older the tattoo will become a hinderence to you.I am also lucky that i have seen a lot of life and am a very confident person.Tattoos are not worth the trouble, and they are not cheap anymore.

No, it's not worth it. You never know what could happen. You might break-up soon after the tattoo is put on, and it's a hard and painful process to get it taken off. But if you do get married that's a great thing, but you should wait until you are married to put someones name permanently on your skin.

i will possibly on no account get a tattoo no longer to point the call of somebody. If we wreck up and that i'm getting a clean bf he;s probable going to offload me for having yet another guy's call on my physique! additionally, i think tattoos are incorrect b/c your physique is a temple and you're no longer meant to destroy it with markings and pointless piercings/
