Not always. You should feel the pressure ease off of your intestines. However, YOU may feel a little heavier due to the fact that your stool has dropped that much closer to your colon. At this point I would recommend you finding the nearest toilet because YOUR inards along with your anus will experience a hell of a "COLON-BLOW"

No, methane is heavier than air. Even if it were replaced by air, which it isn't, you would still be lighter. Still silly mind you, but lighter.
