My first reaction would be disbelief. If he truly did that though, I would demand his impeachment, as I believe almost all conservatives would.
This is a silly question, really. Liberals hate George Bush, and would gladly impeach him for not being Al Gore. Conservatives are the defenders of the Constitution AS IT IS WRITTEN, and would continue to do just that.
BTW, George Washington established the custom of a President only serving for two terms. Every President, good and bad, honored that custom until FDR came along. FDR, the Democrat who tried to pack the supreme court. FDR, the Democrat who tried to fight a depression by ordering stores to RAISE prices. FDR, the Democrat who died in office during his fourth term. It is because of FDR that we now have the Twenty-Second Amendment, constitutionally limiting a President to two terms.
I just thought you'd like to know.

I would sing that old 1940's song "Were in the Money"
It would make little or no difference. People are trying to defend America's government by going back to the basics. But America is a dead horse and nothing will get it up and running.
Look at GM and Ford both leaving this sinking ship. They were the biggest employers in America 30 years ago.
Government hahaha the guys in Washington are not your Representatives they are your thief's.

This could never happen. Not only would congress not allow it, the whole country would be unwilling to follow such a decree. The people, including the military would be in revolt. Not because I don't approve of George Bush, but it's your premise to even suggest the thought could occur in his head. Only a dictatorial type such as a Castro would want to control a country for life.

This is not a Bush trait, more like Former President Clinton who had so much trouble leaving the Presidency that he looked like a fool. Oh, and Jimmy Carter who seems to think he is still the president! Nice try and I am sure you will receive some great answers from liberals, this should be good for comic relief!!!!

Bush couldn't are starting to be away with putting ahead martial regulation so quickly after being elected. even if, I anticipate good right here conceivable difficulty in 2008: If apparently like the Republicans will lose the subsequent election, Bush and his cronies will fabricate yet another "terrorist attack" on U.S. soil. Then Bush will be ordered (via Cheney) to declare martial regulation, claiming that a change in administration would not be interior the staggering pursuits of nationwide protection. George Bush, Dick Cheney, Don Rumsfeld and the entire sitting U.S. Congress characterize the most evil, incompetent, corrupt, cowardly, ineffective body of yankee leaders in this united states's heritage. all of them need to be tried for prime crimes against humanity via a international tribunal, and - if convicted - ought to face a public firing squad. fairly devil has reserved a particular oil-soaked nook of Hell for those fairly evil sub-people the position they could all spend their eternal damnation blaming one yet another for destroying our international. the position's Lee Harvey Oswald after we particularly want him? -RKO-

I would not tolerate ANYONE declaring himself president for life. (Especially Bush).
I'd have to start a revolution.

Remove him from office and send him into exile. I am sure some other countries would let him live there.
