am 31weeks pregnant and have never had spotting before. this morning i had a little spotting and my pregnancy discharge was pink... ive also been having pressure pains down there.
is that normal in late pregnancy? has anybody had this

No. It is not normal. Call your doctor now. I'm an ultrasound technician who specializes in OB/GYN. You may be having preterm labor. If you cannot get in touch with your doctor, go the the Emergency Room.

get a hold of your OB or head to the hospital L&D.
You need to be checked, it could be an irritation only, start of an infection or you could be dilating or it could be nothing. You are only 31 weeks, while a baby born at 31 weeks has great chances of survival, you shouldn't be having spotting this early on. When you start getting internals at around 36 weeks you can have it, but not now.
Get checked out to be safe.

You need to go to L&D or your OB office immediately- bleeding in late pregnancy (unless the bleeding was caused by intercourse) is never normal... it could be a sign of preterm labor, placenta previa or abruptia, or many other dangerous things. Good luck.

I did have a little spotting towards the very end of my pregnancy. Light spotting is okay. Especially after you have had an internal exam. If you are bleeding significantly then this is not okay. If you have any doubt please ask a doctor.

sometimes when i talk to my ob hes says that you should go to labor and delivery if you have a presistant headache or you are spotting...spotting could be a sign of preterm labor...i am 31 weeks and i get pressure "down there" but its just where the baby is layin and tru that it could be from sex but if your concerned then talk to you ob thats what they are there and get paid for right?? congratulations and goooood luck

Did you happen to have sex? Your cervix is very sensitive and filled with blood during pregnancy and things that touch your cervix (like having sex or a pap smear) can cause your cervix to bleed slightly. It would be a good idea to contact your doctor.
