It depends. Some people are more sensitive to the effects of drugs than others. Just put those 2 puffs behind you, and start Not Smoking again. In my house we have two former smokers; one was addicted and must not pick up another cigarette for even one puff---ever. The other can smoke an occasional cigarette and then leave them alone again with no trouble. I hope you're the second type.

as long as you stay away from cigarrettes now you should be ok. Don't think that because you can get away with 2 puffs that now you can take 2 puffs/week, or 2 puffs/hour or 2 puffs/minute!!!
i know because it is the same as dieting. you can go along losing weight, when one day that ice cream just looks so good that you have some. at the end of the week you still lost a pound. you think, "wow, i had ice cream and STILL lost weight". next thing you know you are eating junk food everyday and begin to wonder why the weight is no longer coming off, or is in fact going back on!!!
Congratulations of 4 months of being smoke free!! Keep up the good work and don't sabatoge your efforts!!!

That is exactly what I did, and now here I am again smoking full time. You will soon think you can just have a few puffs anytime you want and soon you will find the few puffs even though they are far apart will end up with you smoking the whole cigarette. Don't be tempted or even try the few puffs, you will quickly be hooked again. Good Luck!

Well there's definitely a chance it can have an affect on the baby, especially since the first 3 months are the most critical, that's when the baby is growing and developing the most. If you wanna know all the possible risks you should talk to your doctor, but there's really no way to know how healthy your baby is until you have an ultrasound, which I'm sure your doctor will probably wanna do once you tell him/her all of this. But hopefully since you have stopped all of this everything will be ok. Good for you for thinking of your baby and quitting the smoking and drinking.

It depends on you, if you think another 2 puffs tomorrow is ok, then just one cig a day, you will find yourself smoking again.
Congratulations on not smoking for 4 months, just think of the financial and health benefits you have gained, and how much will power you have, pat yourself on your back and get back to that health lifestyle
Smoking apparently is up there with heroin when it comes to breaking the habbit. I don't smoke.... but if someone asked me to give up coffee!!! So keep up you good work of 4 months, good luck

Only if you keep smoking after the 2 puffs. Relapses can happen. Just admit to it and move one. Try to figure out what made you take those 2 puffs. Were you stressed? Then work on other ways to deal with the situation.

You either smoke or you don't smoke.
I'm afraid you should class yourself as a smoker again!
You have undone all the resolve of the last 4 months - but the effects of the 2 puffs could be minimal. On the other hand, they may just be the 2 needed to develop...........?
DON'T SMOKE - IT KILLS IN NASTY WAYS!

I've known other smokers become rehooked this way. You have to remember what made you give up in the first place and then think about what made you start again. As far as the body is concerned the less carcinogen substance it has put into it the better so any cut down or cessation of smoking is good news for you

NOPE. lol. I quit 20 times or more. You must first remind yourself you are a non smoker. Even if you take a puff. When the cigerette is done, you are a none smoker again. Go another 4 months, eventually you won't touch them ever.

did you get dizzy? those two months is a start. just put the two puffs behind you and try to last longer. you'll see that when the cigarette doesn't have the same effect it had on you as before. not liking the taste, the feel in your mouth, dizziness and waving the air around you when you get close to someone smoking. these are signs that you're close in breaking the habit. so hang in there.
