There's many arguments for this, and it depends on what you're looking for in a system, but what decides it for me is that the PS3 is going to cost around $600.

... which is bad. lol

The PS3 is not out yet but from what i have seen of the 360 and of the PS3 i would say the PS3 will be the top dog in the end. The 360 has had a lot of problems with games freezing up on the screen and the units overheat to much. Microsoft was in such a hurry to get the 360 out to market they didn't make sure the units would work right. I give Sony props because they pushed back the release date many times already just so they could get the bugs out. Plus if you look at the specs of both systems you will see that the PS3 is better in terms of power. Plus i like the game line-up for the PS3 more than the 360. It cost Sony 1000.00 dollars to make the ps3 so paying 599.00 is not that bad. Sony has never let me down so i have no reason to doubt them this time.

well personally speaking,i havent tried PS 3 because its not yet available in the market until november this year

but based on specs....
both have a powerful hardware ( but most probably xbox 3 is better because of its processor ),but PS 3 got 60 GB hard drive (good for storing games and movies)

in software, both got backward compatibility, but because of emulation xbox has a limited number of games, and some games do not run...
and I can say that it depends on what games you want to play because some games are exclusive..

but in terms of technical support and other services..... i can say that xbox is better......bill gates will not risk the complains of customers

well you can try nintendo's Wii, available soon

They are both going to very similar, Xbox again is geared more towards adults 25+ while PS3 will apeal to that age group and and a 13+ group as well. Graphically they are going to be so similar, it is not funny!!

I know alot of people will probably flame me for this (particulary those in Australia) but I bellieve that the 360 and PS3 are pretty much carbon-copies of each other. That is why I suggest that you shouldn't waste your money on either of them and get something original, like the Nintendo Wii.

from what I have read in various places, PS3 is NOT your best gaming console. Dont waste your money...stick with something you know is good! SO, Xbox is my choice
