Yes, it depends on their history, their deal with the production. So many actors take a percentage of the box office. Those with some integrity and class do not just go for the big pay cheque but will support the small independent films that they participate in by accepting a much lower salary for an indie film. You can bet the the gazillions that Johnny Depp makes from Pirates will go not only to his children's education but also to making some small interesting films that fewer people will see.

Depends on the movie , depends on the actor (don't use the term actress anymore). It can be anywhere from a couple of million to in excess of twenty million per picture depending on the studio, the trackrecord of the actor and or the producer and director.
