As one of the answers states, he was elected to the office but if you remember he wan not elected at all. He stole the office or should I say he paid for the office.
Not once has he ever been referred to as president elect because he was NOT elected into office.
Go back and check your records and you will see that if he really was elected he would have been referred to as pres. elect.
As for why is Bush in the white house well, your question really should be why is he still in the white house?
I always thought criminals were not allowed to keep their office but again he has changed the law in his favor.

He was legally elected.

It's true that Kerry tried as hard as he could...(I really liked the part where he conceded, then reneged, then conceded again)...but the good folks of Florida brought in some Democrats who could count (it took 24 hours to round up enough), and they tallied up more votes for Bush than Kerry.

Incidentally, if Bush bought the election, he really MUST be dim-witted, not to have paid off the Democratic vote-counters in Florida. They would have been more cheaply bought than the Electoral College, don't you think?

All of you people who think Mr. Bush "stole" the election have absolutely no clue as to how elections, popular vote and the Electoral College even work. Does the term "sour grapes" mean anything to anyone?

You people have swallowed the liberal media swill for so long that any critical thinling skills you may have once had have since deteriorated into nothingness. "Heads full of mush" - Rush Limbaugh.

Because the first time he was appointed and the second election his people cheated and he "won" the election. When putting your man in office becomes more important then a fair and honest election then you reap what you sew. Just look at the mess he has made in this country and even in the world and you will understand the meaning.
