A sperm and an egg are obviously not all that's needed. Just ask all the thousands of couples who have fertility problems. There is no material formula for life. You can't make a living being in a lab simply by combining inert chemicals. What's required is the presence of the spirit soul, the spiritual spark, that has its origin from the Supreme Lord. The spirit soul is eternal, has no birth and no death, but it is placed in the womb of a mother by the material nature, under the direction of the Lord, according to his previous actions and desires.
