It's about time they realised that their true allies in the English (as opposed to the British) have been shat upon too many times by the US, giving France, the 'cheese-eating surrender monkeys' billions of dollars not to become communist and then charging England billions of dollars for the privilege of the gung-ho tax-evaders (i.e. the U.S.) shooting us in the back. Time to pay the Brits back Uncle Sam!

I don't think that's an option. The reason being, Iran has already done that by sending large sums of cash to be handed out by Hezbollah to buy the people. Also it didn't work in Beirut as here we are again. It's a temporary fix, because these people will take the money but they will still have unfathomable hatred for the Jews and a carefully nurtured (by their state run media or state paid off media) distrust of the West.

I think what you have here is a new breed of terrorist. I don’t believe they can be bought with money. They are pure ideologues. Men who are willing to blow themselves up for a cause, and can comfortably resort to such extremes, because of a promise of otherworldly rewards, has no need for the money.

Furthermore, even it were possible to bribe terrorists to desist in attacking our interests, it sets a bad precedence, because it implies that we cannot resolve disputes through diplomacy or military force. Every would be terrorist would come out of he wood works extorting us. As the old adage goes: “Give them an inch, they will take a mile”

One day, that won't work anymore, because Bush is quickly driving our economy into the ground. We aren't going to be a world superpower for much longer.
