In the port(Adamas) of the island has a lot of people and super nightlife.
For more quiet situations you should stay to Plaka which is very great, it has bars etc but it's not so crowded and it has a magnificent view(it's over a hill and you can see all the aegean sea). It is built to a medieval castle , it's super!
You should swim to Sarakiniko (a really extraordinary beach because it is all white like you are in the moon or something). Other beaches are : Hivadolimni, Provatas, Paliohori, Agia Kyriaki , Adamantas.
In northeast side of the island there is also Apollonia which is great to stay and swim. 3 kilometers from Apollonia there is Filakopi (centre of Mynoan years) which has archeological interest. There is also the magnificent cave of Papafragas.
Speaking for caves don't forget to visit the sea cave of Kleftiko in south of the island (if you don't go there you lose).
Milos has also a lot of Catacombs in Tripiti village ( 2 kilometers from Plaka). It is maybe the greatest monument in Milos. And , of course , the archeological museum where there is a copy of the statue of Aphrodite(Venus).
Other museums : Historic and Laographic museum.
There are also nice churches as Panagia Korfiatissa or Panagia Thalasistra or Mesa Panagia.
You can also go to the other small and isolated islands close to Milos as Antimilos, Akradies and Glaronisia but I suggest Kimolos.
I hope I helped you. You are going to love Milos, it's very beautiful!
Have a nice time to Greece!

Make sure you see Sarakiniko beach. It is the most out of this world place ever. Also there is a shipwreck by some other beack and Papafragas is great too.
Also on Milos, there is some town where there are these old caves and tombs of these early Christians, and an old roman theater. I can't remember what it was called, maybe Tripiti. There is also an ancient settlement at Fylakopi to see.
Anyway, the whole island is worth exploration, it is a small island and totally isolated and there are not many tourists there at all!
