Thank you!

For a strapless dress, I would start with a great necklace that is either choker, princess, or a shorter chain (no more than 16-17"). You want something to showcase your neck and clavicle, not hide it.
Pearls in white, cream, or pink are very classic and elegant. Maybe try freshwater or fake ones if you don't have or want to spend the money for real saltwater pearls. You might also want single strands, they look better on younger women than multi-strands.
I'd stay away from rhinestone necklaces and sets from stores like Claire's. They are tacky, better for high school formals than college.
Also, look at lab stones in shades of pale pink for some great deals. They are still a real stone, not CZ, but they don't cost as much as mined stones.
Once you pick the necklace, then it's easy to find matching earrings, and a bracelet if you choose. I would only wear a bracelet on one wrist, not both.

A choker fits around your neck closely, about 10-13".
A princess length rests at the base of your neck, about 12-14", silghtly longer than a choker.
A shorter necklace around 16-17" will fall just below the neck, but not quite to the middle of your neckline. If you are taller, or fuller figured, you may need an 18" to get this look.
If you wanted to go really red carpet, look at styles with a drop pendant on the strand, and drop earrings.

If you don't want pearls, stick with simple pendants. An entire crystal necklace would look overdone. This is one of those times that less is more. You are old enough that you shouldn't be playing "dress up", but young enough that you don't need tons of jewelry to look good, they way your grandmother might choose to wear. One elegant necklace, earrings, one bracelet, one ring per hand, not on every finger. For less expensive genuine stones, look at pink topaz or pink tourmaline. Lab stones in pink sapphire aren't that expensive either.

Try some department store jewelry counters, they are usually cheaper than jewelry stores. Look for when sales are going on at local stores, check the papers for ads and circulars. Even look in TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshall's, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart or any other inexpensive stores in your area. I'm betting that you don't have a ton of cash to spend, so maybe a high end piece is a little more than you want to spend.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

Wear an antique, good quality, sophisticated choker or drop necklace. Try going for intricate patterns if you dress is plain (you don't want them competing!) and if you dress is extravagant go with a simple pearl or sterling choker. Never use nickle!!! To people with very sensitive skin, this can cause irratation!! If you experience any discomfort, TAKE IT OFF!!!!

Choker style necklace with austrian crystal or anything that reflects light and sparkles. I would say go with a colorless stone that's highly reflective. Earings should be long but not so long that they sit on your shoulders. I would wear your hair up in in a style according to your face shape...

Good luck!

Depending on your bustline you would definetly wear something on your neck. Not long and hanging just around the base of your throat. And simple earrings. If you do have large bustline wear nothing on the neck but several bracelets to move the eye away from that area.

im thinking a small pendant necklace that can go down between the middle of your chest , in a red color gem probably , and maybe some matching earrings and a small thin gold bracelet , that should be more than enough , and maybe for the hairstyle just leave it down and over your shoulders.

try something simple and ellegant, such as a locket or diamond pendant. leave gawdy accessories to the drag queens. your hairstyle really depends on the shape of your face...if it is roundish then i would say leave it down.

Dont wear a necklace.
Just wear big, dangling earings and a nice bracelet.
