Yes, I would totally recommend this - that's what I ghad to do a few weeks ago and now it's much better!
*Go to the start menu on your computer.
*Click on settings.
*Then, click on control panel.
*Next, click on add/remove programs.
*Find Yahoo Messenger in your files by scrolling down the list (everything is listed in alphabetical order.)
*Click on the remove/change tab.
*This will automatically delete the program! (You're half-way done!!!)
*Now, go to Yahoo's main page and click on the Messenger link.
*Follow the directions from there for downloading the Messenger again.
Good Luck!!! I really hope this works for you, since it worked so well for me! Have a great day! : )

Go to Control Panel, add/remove programs, scroll down to Yahoo Messenger and select remove. I, too, have been having problems connecting to yahoo msg from home. I've tried this several times and it didn't help me, but that's not to say that it won't help you. If that doesn't help, contact your provider.

No, the yahoo messenger is this technique you employ to make use of your yahoo messenger "account". If the account is deleted, then you for sure lose all of your contacts. not something occurs in any respect once you uninstall the messenger.
