How'd the car get up there in the first place? And I guess if a car DID drive off the point of a skyscraper it would probably be blown to smithereens.

Assuming the skyscraper were tall enough, it would reach a terminal velocity of something like 180 mph. Your fuel economy would be excellent on the way down.

It would begin falling, using the standard rate of acceleration (16 ft per second per second). It would also continue traveling forward at the speed at which it left the edge of the building, minus wind resistance.

It would slam into the earth at a speed based on the height of the building and a distance from the building based on the speed of the vehicle as it left the building.

it would fly through the air for a few seconds, then begin a nosedive for the ground and probably hit a bunch of cars on impact. Man would that be bad!

Top Gear did something similar with an old Nissan truck. demolished the building while the truck was on top. Fairly undramatic, I think it even started afterwards, and they managed to drive it a short way.

You'd get really good gas mileage for a while but that sudden stop at the end would be a crushing experience.

First ask your self how else would it get off, and at what point would the drive off be? off the garage which is at ground floor?
