There is no question that when give more than 2 choices, most people cannot decide what to do. As a professional salesman, I never give my client more than two choices at a time. This is only after an extensive survey of the client's needs and determining if what I have to sell will be the help that is needed. If my products cannot help, I move on and we remain in a solid relationship for future opportunities for both of us. Too many options will cause the client to waffle, and realize that I have not done my job.

Oh yes. I made the mistake of getting into the options market. You have to really stay on top of the futures you buy. I forgot to sell the futures on hog bellies that I bought. Last week 57 tons of hog bellies were delivered to my house.

Yes, you need to decide on the outcome first, but then there is the process of elimnation, narrowing down your choices, your priority, then the final analysis. It is called choice which offers you features & benefits, in the end it is the best that is selected.

Yes, everytime I go shopping, I get frustrated thinking, " Can't they just have one or two instead of 45 types to choose from." Usually I sort of know what I want, and then, I see all the choices, and start second guessing myself.

Only if you have trouble making up your mind. To agonize over decisions is unnecessary unless the decision is of extreme importance. Most decisions are not final or impossible to revist unless we decide ourselves they are.
