Actually wolves are like patient gentlemen, so I guess the inverse would be true. It's difficult to say because although we all know what a wolf is, a gentleman may only be a mythological creature.

Hmmm.. never heard that saying before, but I think that could apply to human nature, not just gentlemen.
I'm guessing a patient wolf is one that bides its time before attacking, or only attacks when provoked. To me, that describes most everyone, man or woman.
