I need advise on my case here... I have done tons of research... and once again I am stuck.
I have pressed charged against my father. He has a warrant issued for his arrest... charges: 2 counts of Forcible Rape and 2 counts of Forcible Sodomy.
It has been close to 9 months since I have reported it and done the statement. The sherriffs department has lost my statement 2 times. And I have been pushing til they found it... 4 months into it. They finally decide to investigate... They did not know where his whereabouts was... which is odd. hes in trouble all the time. So I investigated... and gave them the address and directions. When they went to ask questions concerning these serious allegations... they arrested him for possession of an illegal substance. Now that time has passed several months later... and a warrant issued for my case. He is nowhere to be found. ? is When he was arrested for the drugs... and asked about my allegations, could they have made him stay within bounaries?

Given the gravity of the charges, they certainly could have arrested him on the spot on either set of charges. You're dealing with incompetence in the department at a minimum. Had they arrested him he'd have had to post bond (generally a bail bondsman is involved unless your dad would have had the cash) then he'd have been jumping bail in addition to fleeing. Any chance you could get the state attorney general's office or the state police involved to find some folks interested in enforcing the law?

Sorry to hear ur life sucks, but you better talk to ur county rep and get those assholes at the PD fired. A rape case takes priority over drugs. Odds are they are putting it off cause they think that you lied about it of they just dont care about you. IDK what u look like, but if ur, say, obese, they arent going to do **** for you, sorry, thats just the way it is.

Call a lawyer and ask his/her opinion. Initial consultations are often free.
