I just heard that you can put a little dish soap on a cotton ball and hold it over the tick and it will release.
I haven't had a chance to try it yet though, but I work in a school and we have a lot of kids that get them so I'll probably get to test it out soon ;-)
Good luck!

From much experience . Put some turpentine on a q tip . Do not put it on the tick but rub around the outside of it. Take a pair of tweezers and carefully get hold of the tick without pulling him apart. He hates the turpentine and will ever so slowly start backing out. Hold gingerly with the tweezers . It takes awhile but eventually he will come out. Not long ago we had the same thing happen . The tick's whole head was in. Like I said ,it takes some time to do it but we've removed many ticks over the years this way. Good luck ..

To Remove A Tick
Overview
Most ticks do not carry diseases, and most tick bites do not cause serious health problems. But it is important to remove a tick as soon as you find it. Removing the tick completely may help you avoid diseases such as Lyme disease that the tick may pass on during feeding, or a skin infection where it bit you.
When you return home from areas where ticks might live, carefully examine your skin and scalp for ticks. Check your pets, too.
How to remove a tick
Use fine-tipped tweezers to remove a tick. If you don't have tweezers, put on gloves or cover your hands with tissue paper, then use your fingers. Do not handle the tick with bare hands.
Grab the tick as close to its mouth (the part that is stuck in your skin) as you can. The body of the tick will be above your skin.
Do not grab the tick around its bloated belly. You could push infected fluid from the tick into your body if you squeeze it.
Gently pull the tick straight out until its mouth lets go of your skin. Do not twist or "unscrew" the tick. This may separate the tick's head from its body and leave parts of its mouth in your skin.
Put the tick in a jar filled with rubbing alcohol and save it for later identification if necessary.

Ticks might want to by no skill be bumped off with tweezers. This places stress on the ticks body and causes it to regurgitate any risky pathogens proper into the blood stream.don't have self assurance the single about nail polish both.once the tick has get admission to to you blood,it receives oxygen out of your blood stream so nail polish gained't suffocate it and reason it to back out. There are equipment accessible like tick spoons and others inspite of the undeniable fact that it is too late.you desire a well being care provider now to work out that it is bumped off actual and he/she doesn't suspect different complications.

...this is in addition to dlrgl-me's comment....when you grab the tick with a tweezer....while pulling gently- give it a bit of a twist- clockwise- I believe. I think I read somewhere about pouring alcohol over the tick, too, before pulling it out. Good luck!

normally ticks will only suck the blood from your head. if you leave it in there it will gorge itself and fall off. however, if you are worried about disease transmission, i would have someone take a pair of tweezers and pull the booger out...
