I don't want opinions, thanks, I want to know if anyone can give me a website showing how long it takes to match DNA found, say under the nails, with the blood of a suspect. Thanks.

No, Homer, you idiot - I was discussing the JonBenet Ramsey case with a friend and she said that it can take weeks - I heard it can take as little as a day. So go bite yourself until it hurts.

OK, I guess I have to repeat myself - I need a *website* showing the information so I can show proof of the time, not just tell my friend that "a couple of people told me so."

ok so before each little thing this is not the semen that travels to the egg this is the sperm. Semen is what the sperm are in even as they arrive out. The sperm leaves the semen interior of a couple of minutes and travels into the womb. Then it travels through the tubes to the position it expects the egg to be. which could take hours or longer depending upon how properly the sperm swim and how right now they flow. maximum sperm at the on the spot are not formed precise and they wander away or swim round in circles or purely ordinary die formerly they get there. yet in view that there are literally 1000's of them this isn't usually a situation. Sperm can stay as a lot as 5 days, yet 2-3 days is extra problem-free.

I am sorry to dissapoint the other answers, but DNA sequencing can be done in a matter of hours using a fairly new technique. I do not know if this is in use yet for Criminal DNA testing, but I do know that they can do humans in under 4 hours. I'll just go find a website for you.

Ok, im osrry, but i cant find it on a website anywhere. I shall email my prof, and ask him for a reference, and will get back to you asap
