I mean why go after the planes, surely that's one of the hardest targets... why not go after the trains and the tubes (as in 7/7)... or car bombs.. or lorries packed with explosives driven at buildings... surely this is easier to do and achieve... you wouldn't get the same "big bang" result with an airliner, but you could get a consistent attacking cycle across a country.... or is it just their network simply isn't big enough and doesn't have enough martyrs.....unlike what the British government would have us believe that every brown skinned person is a terrorist.
I don't understand it... any terrorist, please feel to answer....

Terrorist are not a big threat, because of their intelligence. The reason they are a big problem is they are willing to suicide. The fact of the matter is very few of them are great tactitians, or qualified bio-engineers or physicists.
I mean look at the guy recently caught in the UK. Anyone with University Chem could tell you a hundred more effective methods.
The 9/11 attacks where overgrown firebombs.
These are dangerous, however lack intelligence. The only thing with less intelligence is the Anti-Terror methods employeed by goverments.
Example is the over the top Airline security. Anyone with half a mind can see a lot of other targets. Why attack the Airlines now when everyone is focused on them. The counter measures being deployed are reactive not proactive.
The fact of the matter is very very few people are as base as being willing to kill on the scale of terrorists. Most intelligent people are either too smart to suicide, or realise the futility of the action.

You want a terrorist to answer this question. I am not. I still venture to answer. Let us understand that terrorists or their handlers and planners are far smarter than defending security personnel and all of us. They are not only interested in destruction but destruction which should look spectacular and catch the media attention like nothing else. That is the reason they chose airplanes as weapons and World Trade Center as targets. I never could conceive of such an idea till I saw endless movie clips of Towers attacked shown repeatedly on television.
It was probably most spectacular sight of destruction of the very might of USA. The resulting media attention and the panic being beamed in the millions of homes all over the world had left us awe stricken and stunned.It is therefore clear that their planning and execution of terror project is well thought out and meticulous and there is no shortage of intellect as you suggest.

Terrorists objective civilians and want that they are going to scare the inhabitants. You won't find that people here, thanks God. I think they don't do what you say because they would not make a big new. They like to be noticed so we "understand" their point and we feel scared for them. That's why they prefer the big things.

Back in 1993 we felt they were pretty incompetent when they tried and failed to blow up the WTC and then got caught trying to get their deposit back for the rental truck.
