don't pay attention to what "mr. cool" said above... i know him. he likes to annoy people.
it's a good thing that you are concerned that you don't want to go overboard with dieting. it is very unhealthy to be anorexic or bulimic.
i'd say, don't call it "diet" -- because it sounds like something that people would do temporarily. do a permanent change... to eat less and exercise more. my uncle had a really bad cholesterol, but he turned his life around. he ate healthily, exercised -- and he's in good shape.whenever we have parties, he doesn't deprive himself of cakes or ice creams etc... he eats them, he just gets back on track the next day. 1 day of eating sweets will not make you gain weight, so don't deprive yourself permanently. but eat those on special occasions only.

It's a psychological problem if one can be anorexic or bulimics, not the way of losing weight.
- You must bear in mind that you'll not loss your weight overnight. Do not expect a quick result
- Do not over focus your mind to lose your weight. All you must focus is not to eat too much. Eat moderately. Feel - not think - your 'hunger' when deciding to eat or not.
- Don't let your eyes control you. Very often we want to eat something because we see it, although we have been full!
- Eat three times a day only. Or you can make it 6, but take half portion every time you eat. That will equal to 3 times a day.
- Do not skip your meal because you'll get very hungry on next meal and eat more!
- Exercise with fun! Don't over exercise and don't focus on losing weight when exercising.
- Try to finish your meal before 7 PM.

Exercises ,,, eat less ,,, and don't eat after 7:00 pm ,,, Take only small portions of food on your plate , always have a glass of water at the table ,,exercises at least 1 hour a day to get started , walk , run , skip , hop ,, get moving ,, and never eat after7:00 this way you will not be going to bed with a full stomach and laying there not burning up calories , and drink water , water , water , stay away from pop , and junk foods , i lost 25 pounds and did this , i am 52 and it's very hard to lose weight at my age because of menopause , but I did it .. JUST EXERCISE and EAT 6 HEALTHY SMALL MEALS A DAY.
Don't try to lose weight too quickly or you'll turn out anorexic etc.
It'll take time, but if you exercise daily and as healthy as you can, you'll be fine.

if you are looking for long term weight loss then dont go for any kinds of diet plans, they just give you temeperory results and eventually harm ur body. i have tried all kinds of diet plans under the sun and take it from me.... nothing works like healthy eating habbits and excercise. i have recently lost 10 kgs in 3-4 months and would love to share my diet plan with you, but keep in mind there is no "one-size fit all" diet plan, it all depends on what is ur current weight, how much do u want to loose, how much activity do u do in a day and so on. msg me if u want to know

You know you should star the day with a protein shake, you get pure egg white protein shakes in diff flavours like chocolate, vanilla etc, 3 huge spoons in a glass of fat free milk will do the trick it will get u right thru lunch, fr lunch you can have a sald with fruits, and veggies, and then in the evening head to the gym or just walk fr miles or just run dinner should be a light meal you can do a tuna salad with lots of tomatoes and letttuce or a bolied chiken salad .good luck

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be

Look up the Atkins Diet.
It lets you lose weight very quickly, but it should only be done for a short time.
