The rooms in the Luxor are small, due to the shape of the Pyramid. I found the rooms in NYNY to be larger, however it can take some time to come to the casino level from the numerous hotel towers
If possible, take a day tour to Hoover Dam, see a Cirque de Soleil show(there are 5) and do some shopping. Also there is a half-price ticket booth for some shows in the shopping mall (The Fashion Show across the street from The Wynn) There are also a couple of great outlets in Las Vegas as well
Enjoy a great buffet meal at Bellagio or The Wynn. Also the best Sunday brunch is at Ballys (Sterling Brunch) served Sundays only. For good seafood, try Joes Stone Crab, located in Caesars Forum shops
Also, you can try to see Lance Burton, The Blue Man Group, Celine Dion or possibly Elton John. Check out the vegas.com website for more details

I stayed at Luxor when I was out there...it was a nice hotel and really neat looking. Wasn't too big so you could still find your way around. NYNY is just a fun place! Coyote Ugly was great fun and the whole hotel has a fun atmosphere when you walk in. NYNY is also a little closer to the rest of the strip. But Luxor is only 2 more hotels down. Either one would be fine...whatever atmosphere you prefer.

When I was last there NYNY was not finished yet but we did stay at the Luxor. I enjoyed the novel style which includes an inclinator rather than an elevator. There are a lot of great shows in Vegas so pick one you enjoy. You can eat cheap in vegas if you choose to which is what I've always done. I suggest you make a day trip out to Hoover dam and also to Scotty's Castle in Death Valley. There is a lot more to the Vegas area than just casinos.

Luxor is further down the srtip and away from the action. NYNY is more fun but less classy. If you can try to stay at Bellagio or The Venetian.

Big SHot at the Stratosphere is a must along with the Fremont street Experience. The Fountains at Bellagio, The Pirate ships at treasure Island. Helicopter to the Grand Canyon (Maverick is best operator) Hoover Dam, drive to Death Valley

Stay at the Luxor in the pyramid - not the towers. Get a suite that has a jacuzzi in front of a window. Do not worry, with the slant of the building, no one can see in and you will have a great view.

To eat in luxury, go to the Sterling Brunch on Sunday morning at Bally's. It is the best in Nevada.

Drive to Death Valley and see the "lowest point in the USA". See Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam.

Spend time with your honey in your room and have a grand time in Vegas for your honeymoon.

I just stayed at Luxor two weeks ago. If it is your honeymoon I would recommend staying. NY NY is fun place to visit, but just like the real city I would't want to stay their. I found it to be smokey with an older feel. Also don't listen to Luxor is not near anything. Luxor has a free mono rail that takes you to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. From Excalibur its an easy walk to NY NY, MGM. Take a walk through the forums shops at Ceasers, shops at the Wynn, Belagio, and take a boat ride at the Venitian.

AW WW congratulations!! Luxor, just a little nicer as far as rooms go and atmosphere, but definitely check out the NY NY fun stuff to do there. But on the romance perspective, you'll want to check out the Paris for nice dinner @Mon Ami Gabi(make reservations to sit outside facing the Bellagio water show) uh, sooo nice and then walk around and go have a french pastry and chocolate crepes , Eiffel Tower.... soo much to do anywhere you go, you'll have a blast! Sin City Native.... congrats!

NYNY... Vegas virgins on a honeymoon... See Zumanity and head back up to your room to consumate the union

I have been to both. Luxor is a little more luxorious and glamorous in terms of how it looks on the inside. Prices for rooms are about the same. both are in good areas.
