I get lost inside my mind sometimes. And it's hard to find the way out, I can tell you. There are so many strange paths of thoughts that doesn't really lead anywhere, and others evidently not finished yet. And others again are winding hither and thither, up and down, in spirals and loops, in the great maze that my mind is.

But it's not as if I'm bothered by it. It's quite nice to escape the reality and enter the inner self sometimes. The only thing important is not to become a slave of dreams, imaginations and surreality.

I know I'm going to find my way through the maze, so I'm not worried. At least, not today...

there's another word for altering your conciousness. it's called "living". the only time your conciousness is not being altered in some way is when you don't have it anymore because you are in a coma or you are dead. as for altering your conciousness with drugs , if you are worried that it's a bad thing, then it will probably be a bad thing, if you are thinking that it's just a fun thing that won't really affect anything then it will probably end up badly. if you choose the right drugs, and treat them with the respect that they demand then they can be a very good thing. can be. not will.

It depends on how you are altering that consciousness. If it is through the use of recreational chemicals, then it's legally wrong and utlimately bad for your body. (that lesson was learned the hard way). You can alter your consciousness through meditation or in a simpler sense, daydreaming. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the lake shore and 'lose' myself in the vastness and the sounds. I can also throw on the headphones and escape in that way.

We all need to get away. Just find a method that is not harmful to your body and brain.
