They truly are the windows to the soul they say more than words can say, expressions of love, sadness, confussion... lies even can be told.
The eyes are a mirror of the soul, they say. How come then that I get lost whenever I look at you? My vision blurs when I see your eyes, and my heart stops for an instant. The magic of your look is a disease, and I'm infected. Yet I do not want to be remedied, I just want to come a little closer and see you from no distance. And then, take away all that meets the eye and just see with my heart, in the darkness.

For if your eyes truly does mirror your soul, then your soul must be a bottom-less well filled to the brim with the water of youth, love and beauty.

I believe our eyes are the window to your soul. Most people can't look you in the eye's because of guilt. They believe that you can see right inside them. Some people are just shy, which is just another word for low self-esteem,which is a form of guilt in itself because they don't believe they are the people we think they should be. And then there are the people whom have no problem looking you in the eyes and lying their butts off. This is another subject.

they are significant because we are highly complex and socialized creatures, evolved to detect the emotional state of other members of our tribes subconciously by several physiological cues, such as pupil dilation and facial vascular constriction. people are averse to looking other people in the eyes when they have done something bad or are lying because we are aware of this system of physiologically based communication and not looking someone in the eyes is actually less of a giveaway than it would be if you lied to someone while looking in their eyes. not neccessarily conciously.

I've known people that could tell what I was thinking just by looking at my eyes. I can't do it, wish I could. People don't usually keep eye contact if they're guilty of something. It takes a long time to be able to keep eye contact if you are guilty....

God is immensely perfect for He made our eyes as a two-way doorway, one where we can see, and where others can see into. Our eyes play an important role in our life. Use it wisely.
