i pride myself on being picked last in gym, i usually dont wear matching clothes(rainbow knee high sock, guy golf shorts, band teeshirt), i like video games and computer, and i wear "emo" glasses,i also am joining the chess team. do think ima dork?

Everyone's got a little dork in them. Like me, im kinda clumsy. Everyone has something or more then one thing about themselves that they don't like. Im guessing your either a teenager or maybe a young adult. Or else you wouldn't ask on how you can "break out" of the way you are. You can never change who you are, even with your best efforts it will always leak through. Its our differences that make us cool. And people appreciate the way you are weather you do or not. Some day, maybe not soon but some day you will grow to love your dorky ways and make them work best for you. And dont worry about what other people think or say. Its not easy but it really makes you a better person. Sticks and stones will break your bones but words will never hurt you.

How do we know, you could be the coolest person wearing dorky clothes. Clothes and stuff don't make you a dork.........but the personality in those clothes will make you a dork faster than you can say, "D'oh!" What is your personality like? And you didn't indicate if you wanted to change or not? Act like a dork and you'll be a dork. Have a great personality and people don't care what your wearing or doing.

You obviously want people to respond that you are a dork. You list every stereotypical thing a dork would like or do, and then ask the question. A real dork does not know they are a dork. You are not a dork...you are an attention seeker.

no, everybody is a dork. we have dorkiness in everyone of us.
everybody has a bad and good tatse in clothing. everybody tries hard to look good to appreciate them. but the important things is what is inside. your attitude towards yourself and others in more important than on what you look.
if you picked by someone just ignore them. the world today is becoming more shallow and materialistic due to pop-culture and mtv. just be unique. and don't be genetic. and being a dork pays off when you go to college. =p. you go to great schools with scolarships. =p. you will meet real [not like shalow pea brain cheerleaders] people and great friends when you grow old.
JUST HAVE CONFIDENCE.

see i think your trying to be "a loner". In 20 years your going to say what am i doing, what was i wearing. Hey im not a prep and im not a goth or whatever your trying to be. I wear t shirts and jeans, I workout, and i have big emo buddy holly glasses. Just be who you are, if you honestly like golf shorts then wear em.

No but I think you have low self esteem and are being odd for attention since you are asking this question...try and be the real you and get attention from things that are positive vs things that you know yourself bring negative attention. I know looks really should not matter but it is no effort to coordinate vs look bizarre. Now if your group thinks bizarre is cool that is different...you are just fitting in...which is a different self esteem problem,
