there is only 10 years between you... and she is a little young to be getting married... just date and have sex... marriage wouldn't last...

As such so long as you both love each other there should be no problem. However both of you are very young. While at 26, you can still be sure of your feelings, she at 16 might change her feelings as she grows older and develops a more wholistic picture of life. You may then have entered into a very impulsive marriage which you may not be comfortable about. The factors to consider are how emotionally mature are both of you to be sure of your feelings and how long have you known each other. If you have not known each other for more than 6 months to a year, its best to keep seeing each other and give it some more time before you consider marriage.

If she were older, the age difference might not matter so much. I have seen several marriages of older men to teenagers and they were spectacularly unsuccessful. She is still a child.
