No meaning at all.

At least U can have some fun when U have nothing to do in the middle of the night!

The higher lvel U go, the more questions U can answer! And then U won't be left hanging halfway when U had used up your quota!

It gives an incentive to people to earn privileges like getting to vote on whether or not an answer is good (thumbs up or thumbs down) but the real reason is to get people to give good quality answers, for ex. you get more points for giving a best answer and you get points for answering questions. The use is kind of useless, unless you really enjoy voting on answers. But it is kind of addictive; you want to keep getting "better" and "higher" kind of like a video game trying to get a high score.

Well if you don't have points you can't ask questions. I think yahoo answers is fun because some people know more about stuff then you do, and your question is so easy for them, when you are researching for hours, and can't find an answer.
