Yes depending on how you wear it. Of course you don't want it above your pants showing everyone or especially you don't want to be wearing a white dress with a black thong. Now if your a guy, and you can see the girls thong as she bends over. I would think that would be a plus.

Regarding to style?
Well, if you're wearing tight pants, and you don't want people to see your underwear lines, then yes, a thong can be the way to go.
But as far as style, if you're wearing really low-cut jeans or pants, and people can see your thong sticking out of the back of your pants, NO, that is not in style.
