I recently got new frames. Plastic, rectangular, trendy -- they're designer, infact.
I am nearsighted with brown eyes and I'd love for some makeup suggestions for when I wear my glasses. Obviously nothing bright, just fairly natural that'll make my eyes stand out.

it's a funny thing when you combine eye makeup and glasses. if you apply your eye make too lightly to achieve a natural look, and put on glasses, it will appear as if you're wearing no eye make up at all! so what should do is stick to your original plan. just intensify what you apply to your eye. use natural hues but add a bit more to exaggerate your eyes a bit. (example: highlight your eyelid with a light shade, and contour in the crease of your eye with a medium or deeper brown. you can also try eye liner under the eye. perhaps a deep brown or taupe. that's a good natural shade.) that way when you put your glasses on, your make up will show through. don't worry. it won't look gaudy because the glasses do play down eye make up. i wear glasses sometimes as well. that technique works beautifully. i hope you love your new look.

Try the Almay I-Color Line. Make sure you wear black mascara, since the glasses hide the eyelashes. If the lenses magnify the eye, tone down the mascara to brown black. You don't really need to change the rest of your makeup. Keeping it natural and simple is the best. Less is more and I think men will agree.

I know you want to go natural, but with glasses, all your normal makeup has to be increased by a LOT. You don't have to do glittery pink mascara or turquoise eye shadow, but try making your normal eye makeup a little more intense. More eyeliner if you wear it, more shadow, more mascara, and a little bit bolder colors. If you normally wear pastel pink on your eyes, brighten the light color to almost magenta. For brown eyes, actually, green or pink is a good idea.

I used to wear glasses, so I would say use some pink eyeshadow or some purple. Tan and some peach colors would look nice, but then you have to apply a bit more than the person who doesn't have glasses

Just go simple. All a girl really honestly should have is...

-foundation (just to even out the skintone)

-bronzer (apply a little to your cheeks, forehead, nose, chin--it adds a little bit of a sunkissed glow without looking overdone)

-blush (smile and apply on the apples of your cheeks)

-mascara (just so your eyes look awake! make it neat, don't try to overclump it on! just add some brightness to your eyes!)

Good luck, sweetie!

Why not? When you take your glasses off, you wouldn't want everybody to watch your face without make-up!!!
