We wear make-up to enhance our best features and to help disguise our worst. This gives us more confidence, as we know we look our best. Make-up, however, should be worn to enhance, not mask - there's nothing worse than seeing a woman with so much make-up plastered onto her face, you could scrape it off with a knife! Always remember : enhancement and, as you get older, less is more!

It goes back to Egyptian times. Cleopatra wanted to look stunning, so they used various roots and plants to create dyes and pigments to color the face. And in today's times, women are striving to look more younger and more beautiful( like we aren't enough) and the cosmetics industry preys on that to make money.

Ever since Roman times women have wanted to draw attention to their good features and hide their bad ones.

With make-up you can hide broken veins, create cheek bones and minimise pouty lips or maximise thin lips - all making us more attractive to men (we think!)

to dress our faces as we dress the rest of our bodies. i don't do make up often , but sometimes it is nice . it can be good for people who have blemishes or scars which they are sensitive about. and why not beautify faces when everything around us is beautified in some way.
