1. Goods being sold in the market are not measured/weighed correctly
2. Traders charge a price higher than the prescribed retail price
3. Goods sold are of sub-standard quality. like-selling medicines beyond expiry dates, supply of defective or deficient home appliances
4. In the name of genuine parts and goods, fake or duplicate items are being sold
5. Consumers are often harassed and unjust or undue conditions are put before them
6. Appliances produced locally lack the required inbuilt safegaurds, which causes accidents
7. Many high cost durable items need adequate after-sale care. suppliers do not provide the satisfactory after-sale services despite necessary payments.

I don't believe consumers can be exploited. Ignorance can be exploited and fraud can be committed. But fraud is theft and most governments have laws that protect us from fraud. But the best defense is consumers that use the brains they have.
